another glory box from Finland

I’m not gloating, truly I’m not.  I am hopefully, instead, sharing my sincere appreciation for the wonderful box of goodies that arrived from dear Anne from Finland. What a lovely and generous woman!

Anne has sent me another collection of beautiful Marimekko fabrics - this time in gorgeous, rich reds,a lovely card of handmade buttons, and three beautiful screen printed panels of a beret-wearing crow, a bear and a fox.

[ i just adore this crow - what a character! ]

For Little A, Anne packed the box full of Moomin goodies!  There are moomin cookie cutters, school supplies and stickers …

a wonderful Little My pillowcase …

a packet of darling Moomin napkins …

and the biggest delight of all for my two little Moomin fans and blog-keepers, Moomin mugs from which to drink their afternoon tea milk!

I just cannot imagine what Australian things I could send in return, so instead, I have been sitting here on the verandah in very warm winter weather, sewing some pretty lily thankyous.  I will bundle them off to you Anne as soon as possible!

And then I’m going to have a long, thoughtful look at those marimekko fabrics and panels …
