chinese coins meet the easter bunny …
Well I’m positively *hopping* along with my chinese coin quilt for the March/April Doll Quilt Challenge!
I have finished quilting the coins and am might pleased with the simple effect. Then I embroidered some eggs at Carolann’s the other day - which I hated on sight, but sewed on anyway. Then I added the yo-yos and buttons and quilting in circles and was really pleased with the effect -

and the other end …

For the bottom border, I was bravely thinking chickens in floral tutus or rabbits in bonnets - ha! ha! ha! So I came to my senses and am doing carrots instead - with more yo-yos and buttons …

I only have two more carrots, three more yo-yos and then a handful of buttons and quilting and I’m done. Ooops, and the binding. I’m quite inspired by this dear little quilt to do an Easter tableau-y thing on the sideboard at the front door. Sweet!
