Christmas is coming,
the geese are getting fat;
please put a penny …
… in the old man’s hat!
if you haven’t got a penny,
a ha’penny will do.
if you haven’t got a ha’penny
then God bless you!
p.s. do you think they’ll let us get away with another one next year?
p.p.s still haven’t worked out why my portrait photos are coming out as squashed squares when they look perfect whilst editing… such a pity … must get Julian onto it!

Things look so warm and cozy there. I know that it is warm there, but from here the atmosphere “feels” wonderful! Yes, yes, maybe one more picture next year. We were told that there wouldn’t be such a photo this year, but two showed up in the mail from the library’s holiday party. I was ecstatic! BTW, when I read your post in my RSS feed, the pictures aren’t squashed. Interesting…where is tech support when you need it? Mine is usually sleeping when I need him.
And also, we have about four inches of fresh snow this morning, so I am going to think about your lovely decorations (because mine are pathetic) in conjunction with the cold white stuff outside. There, much better.
Hi Lily, You have such a cosy home! What a lovely Christmas feeling I get, when looking at your pictures! Tomorrow evening we have Christmas party at school for all pupils and their parents. Today we visited at museum to see oldfashion Christmas and to make decorations.
Beautiful sparkely tree pictures. The little needlepoint ornaments and the totems are delightful. Poor Santa.. he still has to wear that furry red suit there? Seems something could be done about that!
Such lovely pictures. So very Christmas-y.
It looks like your halls are well and truly decked ~ just lovely! Lily, do your fingers ever stop stitching? Your needlepoint ornaments are incredible!
How lovely, what a cosy Christmas scene.
Gorgeous photos! The one of Santa and the children wasn’t squashed when I clicked on it. You got far better smiles than I did! Your decorations look so pretty, and suit a tumbledown cottage perfectly :)
All very beautiful and Christmassy – love your little dollies at the top!
Happy Christmas – Hugs – Lurline!
It is too late for this year but I’m standing in line waiting for the tomten’s pattern if you are making one. I’d buy one in a snap. Thanks Lily.
Everything looks so beautiful – one would never know it’s summer LOL! I know I could never get used to celebrating Christmas in the summer, but I’m sure you folks would think it odd to do so in the winter!
