Christmas Eve, Part I
the last minute lamp
This is a seriously good idea for a last minute present (despite having thought about it for weeks!)
All you need is a simple lamp (if you were clever, you’d buy a few when they’re dramatically reduced and stash them in the cupboard) …
some yo-yos and ribbon - these are turning into as indispensable as rick-rack!
a glue gun - truly bizarre little tool but mighty handy at 7am.
And voila! You have a trimmed lamp - definitely channelling Posy here :-)
No joke, I started making the yo-yos for this at 5.50am in bed with a cup of tea, and by 7.45am I was showered, the bed was made, breakfast was eaten and the lamp was on the table waiting to be wrapped. Awesome.

I make very sloppy looking yo yos. I need to figure out how to use my yo yo maker. Yours are beautiful.

What a lovely gift. I am sure a pretty thing like that will be well received and used often. And if it’s not gone too far you could always go and visit it :)

Yes.. that was awesome. And I agree about the yo-yos! You can’t have too many of them.
Gorgeous lamp. :-)
