bucketful limoncello lemon curd golden

Buckets and buckets of lemons, fresh from Mum’s tree.  Full of zingy sunshine to warm our hearts and tummies on these cold wet days.

Squeezed into our tea.  Whipped into lemon curd and slathered onto granitas.  Steeping in vodka for Julian’s favourite summertime drink.  Salted and squished into jars for cooking.

Tomorrow there will be lemon drizzle cake and bottles of lemon juice ready to preserve and store.  Yum!

Gee, they look lovely lemons, I can taste that curd now. We are just about to start picking our lemons but our oranges have been going for a few weeks and each morning the big fellow squeezes us a big fresh glass of goodness each. Loved your post on the doors and I’m so looking forward to the day when you blog about your dream come true farm. What an amazing time it will be for you. A strawbale home will be fabulous and just wait till you hear the rain for the first time on your tin roof. And the first drink of rainwater from your own tanks. There’s nothing quite like it Lily. Have a lovely weekend.
    Blessings Gail
