Oh the quilted sunshine is finished!  And I have heaps of notes and photos to write up … if only I could stop sneezing!  So can I share some finished photos and hopefully tomorrow, have the energy to finish writing up the tutorial? Please :-) Thankyou dear folk … dratted spring blossoms!

I’m so thrilled with this quilt … the colours are so gloriously honeyed and warm and soft.  But it did really need the red binding and the yo-yos in the centre – together, the red from the edge and the middle have made all the yellow work.  I think …. I hope :-)

And having finished another quilted blanket, I’m more in love with this method of construction than ever before.  I’m already planning the next one!

    Hi Lily,
Yes I agree about the red. It’s a winner, just beautiful. Really hope you’re feeling better soon. Maybe the rain will settle the pollen down and you will get some relief. We have had 2″ up here since Sunday evening. The sun is out today but the sky is full of soft clouds so I think a little more rain is on its way.
    Blessings Gail

    Hi Lily,
    That is beautiful!
There was a huge pile of vintage blankets in good condition at the brotherhood op shop (cnr jasper and centre roads Bentleigh) last week. Not sure if they are still there but there was about 10 of them! Jox

What a fabulous quilt/blanket! The colours are wonderful – my favorite combo and the centre is so pretty. The addition of the yoyos to the lovely centre block was inspired. Now I want to make one too!

You are so so so talented my dear. If it’s not too much, I was wondering if you would take me in, feed me, show me how to make quilts, and have tea each afternoon while we chat? :)

Lily I love this! I do hope you put up a tutorial, it’s so delicious :) The red binding is perfect. I have a hankering to make a log cabin and this would fit the bill!!
