something new to play with … the vintage kitchen towel
2008
Ooooo! I’ve been having fun this morning – using my procrastination skills to their fullest – on ebay! Firstly, I bought Carol Doak’s book on paper piecing and am currently bidding on her dvd (as recommended by Patti for overcoming fear and loathing of paper piecing).
Then, and I don’t really know how I did this – oh that’s right, searching for Edie McGinnis’ “Feed Sacks! ” – I came across the vintage kitchen towel. One and a half hours later and I’m the proud owner of this …

and am bidding on three others – roosters, dutch folk and … something else! Don’t you think there are wonderful possibilities for incorporating these lovely soft, sweet images in patchwork! Mmmmm …. I cannot wait for it to arrive!
If you’re keen – there are HUNDREDS to choose from! Some dull, some just plain ugly (then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!) and some just so darling. So pop on over to ebay and type in vintage kitchen towel – there’s hours of procrastination available for free!
But don’t take mine!

Lovely towel! And I’m NOT going to go look for them on Ebay – I’m not! I have too much trouble saying no to fabric and books – I can’t tempt myself with anything else!
Such a pretty towel! I too am going to avoid looking…for now. A person can lose days looking at the pretty things on ebay. Did you find the book?
