stitching for valentine’s
2009
Oh I know it’s oh so commercial but I just love an opportunity for sewing and decorating and celebrating and with all that red …
and pink …
and flowers galore …
how can a girl resist!?
So, tucked up amongst gently rolling green hills is a wee cottage ..
… a modest establishment where a pair of elderly sisters farm their pigs and chooks …
… and during the heat of the day, sit in the dusty coolness of their family’s ancient windmill, reading, crocheting and reminiscing …
… about all the glorious and warm sometimes secret, sometimes heartbreaking love they have basked (or indeed, wallowed) in over the decades.
Until one day,
love just took off :-)
p.s. I owe so many of you a note of thanks and friendship – I haven’t turned into an ostrich with her head stuck in the sand, truly! And I will do my best to remedy this asap. So until then hello! hello! hello! I do hope you’re keeping well and that these strange times are treating you okay. Good night for now. :-) Lily

..stories, I mean…LOL
Another lovely design. You are so imaginative!
That piggy is too cute! With all the news about fires, I have been thinking of you often (even though it is far away, so sad) Your new baby is very cute and looks so soft. Cheers to you and yours!
